This house is called the Joseph Masur
home. It was built in 1907 and remained in the family until 1986
when it was purchased by the present owners. The iron fence once
circled the second county courthouse, which was razed in 1893. The
stained glass windows are original. The woodwork is unique in that
the grain patterns are stamped into the wood. The carriage house
and greenhouse are original to the property. The Masur family is
related by marriage to Suzanne Dickenson, a survivor of the Alamo.
