This home was built in 1924 for Mrs. M. B. Bowden.  Mrs. Bowden's family owned a hardware store located where the Caldwell County Tax Office now stands, on the southwest corner of the Courthouse Square.  Relatives of the Bowden family still reside in this home.  Nearby family enjoy the close relationship and share a rich history.
