This home was built by John Cardwell as a wedding present for his daughter, Beaulah Cardwell, who married "Gus" Storey in 1895.  It was the first of several built for the Storey and Cardwell families on Main Street.  The two story frame home is a blend of Victorian and Greek Revival with a full-width single level portico and second-level back balcony porch.  The original beveled glass is still in place.
